Ezekiel Elliott Returns to Dallas
Former All-Pro Running Back Re-Signs with Cowboys
After a one-year stint in New England, three-time Pro Bowl running back Ezekiel Elliott is returning to the Dallas Cowboys, according to NFL Networks.
Elliott, 28, spent the 2023 season with the New England Patriots, where he rushed for 642 yards and three touchdowns on 184 carries. The 2016 NFL rushing champion, Elliott has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in each of his first seven seasons in the NFL.
Elliott, who turns 29 in July, is expected to play a key role in the Cowboys' offense in 2024. The Cowboys finished 12-5 last season and won the NFC East, but they were eliminated from the playoffs in the Divisional Round by the San Francisco 49ers.
